Sumptuous Velvet – the must have this season

If you are looking to reboot your home for the cooler months, nothing adds instant autumnal warmth like sumptuous velvet. One of this year’s key interiors trends (and a hit on the catwalk, to boot), this heavy fabric has had a major style uplift in recent years.

While the current trend is all about bold hues – from bright denim blue to coral pink – we are also fans of the soft grey options on offer and pairing the bold with the muted.

In more recent times velvet has been embraced as part of a more eclectic, contemporary look, often used to add a luxurious finish to interiors with it’s deep tones and rich texture.

This tactile fabric is perfect for rooms that are predominantly used in the evenings, such as living or bedrooms because it catches the light so beautifully. Soft bulbs bring out the best in velvet.
